It was a major treat. They brought in egg rolls from Chinatown that were the best I've ever eaten...big and fat and full of shrimp and pork and vegetables. And, speaking of vegies, every Thursday they had a vegie casserole with broccoli and Brussel sprouts and sour cream sauce. And, teriyaki chicken breasts. I would love to have those deli recipes. And, the store had all kinds of gourmet foods. A friend used to say that everyone East of the 55 shopped at Walkers. So true. Those were the days.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05872560010155962836noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31835367.post-22325537729893145052013-03-10T20:20:08.321-07:002013-03-10T20:20:08.321-07:00Don't remember Walkers, but I do remember gett...Don't remember Walkers, but I do remember getting watermelons @ Gene Tunk's in Garden Grove & the sawdust/ wood shavings on the floor.
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31835367.post-1739116291573771922011-10-11T16:58:10.299-07:002011-10-11T16:58:10.299-07:00yea i worked there with earl and don-good times!!yea i worked there with earl and don-good times!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31835367.post-88373015993698143462008-05-15T00:09:00.000-07:002008-05-15T00:09:00.000-07:00"1966 = the coolest year in pop culture history!"M..."1966 = the coolest year in pop culture history!"

My vote is for 1985.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31835367.post-71713247097333038142008-05-14T15:21:00.000-07:002008-05-14T15:21:00.000-07:001966 = the coolest year in pop culture history!1966 = the coolest year in pop culture history!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31835367.post-31056875631904774312008-05-06T21:03:00.000-07:002008-05-06T21:03:00.000-07:00There are several chapters of Questers in Orange C...There are several chapters of Questers in Orange County. I became affiliated with one chapter, who, several years ago, acted as a support group for George Key Ranch. For a multitude of reasons, they abandoned their relationship with GKR and turned their sights on another OC historic site.

Their main interest was/is antiques, but their philanthropy translates into time and financial donations to their favorite projects.

I can introduce you to a few if you'd like.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31835367.post-90309217197870123072008-05-05T20:44:00.000-07:002008-05-05T20:44:00.000-07:00Interesting to be sure.
