Although she and her brother Charles were know for their literary collection of 'Tales from Shakespeare', she was Also known for going crazy and killing her mother. I wonder if William D Lamb had heard about it and thought it was interesting, and was influenced in some way to name his own daughter Mary. And then there was another famous Mary of 'Mary had a little Lamb' of course.
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31835367.post-10866743917969830552020-05-07T13:33:15.947-07:002020-05-07T13:33:15.947-07:00Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31835367.post-64372803252845759112020-01-29T12:56:25.569-08:002020-01-29T12:56:25.569-08:00This is so cool to see all this new information ab...This is so cool to see all this new information about my direct descendants. William and Elizabeth were my great, great grandparents. Their youngest son Earl was my great grandfather. Earl and and his wife Etta lived until I was in my late teens (Pappy) and early 20's (Nana). When I was a child Nana would pack up the car with flowers on Memorial Day and take my mother, grandmother and me to the 2 family cemeteries, one in Garden Grove and one in Santa Ana and tell us who all the headstones were. I was named for Etta's mother Dona Mae Bradley. Thank you Chris for all your research!!

Dona Fritznoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31835367.post-72565984488312228432017-04-19T00:43:28.398-07:002017-04-19T00:43:28.398-07:00Thank you so much for telling the story of my grea...Thank you so much for telling the story of my great-great grandfather.
