These photos are an addendum to yesterday's post, which has garnedred more than a little interest. Today's images are from the OCFair.com website. For more images of this historic building's demolition, see their construction page. Can you imagine bragging about this?!?
I really want to keep feeling warm and fuzzy about the Fair. I really do. But this isn't helping.

NO COMMENT !!! After all, its to late now.
Sickening.
Ouch! Ouch! Ouch!...
The "Watch Our Progress!" statements on the page seem very inappropriate.
Your comments in yesterdays blog about "Who, what did they research"... reminded me of the end of Raiders of the Lost Ark...
"WHO?" ... "TOP -- MEN"
Such stupid decision making. Seems to be all too common these days.
I will NEVER go to the OC Fair again. I will NEVER go to a car show, swap meet, concert, etc. on that property.
This is sickening. They should have offered the building for $1.00 to the first person to remove it.
Can't Epting get this on the Real Orange??
does anyone know what the process is (the legal or procedural process) for checking on and declaring an older building "not historical"... do they have to go through any specific department in the county?
If there isn't already, it seems there should be a process by which someone could be alerted to an application to tear down an old building. Instead of us finding out too late like this.
link to a very sad photo from the ocfair site... destroyed...
What a thorough shame. Apparently the Orange County Fair Board or Director don't value Orange County History.
