E. 4th St., Santa Ana, circa 1930

It's late and I've had a busy weekend, so you're just getting a photo this time. But it's a nice one! This is East 4th St. in Santa Ana sometime around 1930. Note the "Red Car" in the foreground.

Thank you for keeping up the blog, even when it is late after a busy weekend. Checking the blog has become a beloved daily ritual, and we all appreciate you putting in your precious and rare free time to do it!

I agree with Colony Rabble! It is great that you put something up on your blog so consistently. I too check the blog daily and it is great to find something new, even if it is not a "big" thing.

BTW, that is a neat photo of Santa Ana. I love all the old cars parked all up and down the street! 1930s version of traffic I suppose. If they only knew what was coming!

Is the tall building in the background, with the copela and flag pole. the Yost theater? And, I think I see the red car tracks curve to the right into the old station that later became the bus depot.

CoxPilot: I believe you are correct on both counts.

ColonyRabble & ItsNotAPlace: Here you both commended my consistant updates, and then I dropped that ball yesterday! Tuesday was a holiday for me, and I wasn't even home long enough to check my email. However, I did take some photos yesterday that should show up on the Roundup soon.

In any case, thanks for your kind words. I'll try to live up to them with more frequency in the future.
